Netgear brought the Orbi family's new Router with LTE connectivity. Wi-Fi Mesh 4G LTE Orbi provides high-performance Wi-Fi connectivity up to 1.2 Gbps and maximum coverage of 175 square meters, according to data provided by Netgear. The new Router is compatible with the main 4G LTE service providers by inserting a SIM card. In addition, it ensures that Wi-Fi is always active as the 4G LTE Orbi router makes the cellular network service a source of failover and backup when an interruption of the fiber, DSL or cable Internet network occurs reliably.
Of course, such a solution is not to be seen only in a backup key, since Orbi 4G LTE allows all those who live in areas where access to the traditional cable network is limited or absent to benefit from an ultra-broadband connection -fast. We are talking about a tri-band AC2200 Wi-Fi solution that integrates an LTE CAT18 modem.
Netgear thinks about the Orbi family of solutions with a view to integrating devices with different characteristics within the same network. For example, by adding the Orbi Voice or Orbi Outdoor satellite, you can benefit not only from greater coverage but also from additional features: Amazon Alexa voice service and Harman Kardon audio in the case of Orbi Voice or Wi-Fi coverage also outdoors, in environments dusty and even during bad weather with Orbi Outdoor.
Netgear also spoke about Mesh with regard to the Nighthawk family with support for the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard. The new Wi-Fi 6 Nighthawk Mesh system combines the advantages of these two product categories with specific features such as, for example, Dynamic QoS that automatically assigns priority to video streaming or gaming. Basically, Nighthawk is a brand that corresponds to products intended for users who love personalization and performance optimization, who will be able to combine the benefits of Wi-Fi Mesh networks with areas where performance matters most, such as gaming.
The Nighthawk Mesh Wi-Fi system consists of one or two satellites that guarantee coverage throughout the house even in areas where previously the Wi-Fi signal was weak. The Nighthawk Mesh Wi-Fi 6 router, or the satellite, is equipped with a dual-band Wi-Fi up to 1.8Gbps and is equipped with 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports (one for the Internet and the other for the LAN) while the satellite has 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. Like all Netgear systems, the setup and management of the Nighthawk Mesh Wi-Fi system can be performed through the Nighthawk app available for iOS and Android devices.
Also within the Nighthawk family, Netgear presented the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 6-Stream Router (RAX50). This device equips the 1.5GHz Triple-Core processor with a fully offloaded CPU, while Wi-Fi 6 technology with OFDMA, support for 160 MHz and 1024 QAM channels greatly improve network efficiency. The antennas present instead increase the range and guarantee Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house.
Finally, there is a new model named Nighthawk M5, a mobile router that integrates 5G and the new Wi-Fi 6 standard. This is a device designed for business travelers as a reliable tool to be able to carry out your work anywhere without limits and in total freedom and safety. But, it can also be used at home by those who prefer to buy a SIM card and surf in 5G with all connected devices. In addition, thanks to the 1Gbps Ethernet port, it can be connected via the main modem and set as a fail-over option. For more information you can visit Orbi Setup.
